De Luxe Banquet to Host Retirement Party for Mayor Dave Golonski

Today, May 1st 2013, marks the first time in 20 years that Dave Golonski is not a member of the Burbank City Council. De Luxe Banquet Hall is hosting a lavish retirement extravaganza tonight to celebrate the retirement of this public servant.

First elected to the Burbank City Council in 1993, a few months after President Bill Clinton was sworn into office for his first term, Dave Golonski has served 5 consecutive 4-year terms as a City Councilman. During that time, he has served 4 separate year-long stints as Mayor of Burbank; in 1995-1996, 1998-1999, 2008-2009, and 2012-2013.

After falling just short of re-election for his sixth term in April of this year, Mayor Golonski will finally step down and take the much-deserved opportunity to relax and enjoy time with his family.

We would like to send our best wishes to Mr. Golonski in his retirement and hope that this evening will be a splendid sendoff.

Here are a few behind-the-scenes pictures of us preparing tonight’s big event. Check back later this week for more specific details about the evening.
